A's with Shaving Cream!

We had a blast making the letter A in our shaving cream! We also tried writing our names and some words in the "AT" family. What fun!

Under the Sea for U Week!

To celebrate U week, we listened to the song "Under the Sea" and made our very own book titled "What is Underwater?"

Alphabet Basketball!

Today we played Alphabet Basketball. I wrote the letters of the alphabet on recycled paper. Each student got a turn to identify a letter and say the sound(s) it makes. Then they got to crumple up the paper and shoot it into the basket! This activity helped us review letter identification, phonics and allowed us to practice coordination. Plus, it was a lot of fun. We saw some awesome slam dunks!

Pajama Pancake Party for P week!

Today, the Pilots wore pajamas to celebrate P week! It was a Pajama Pancake Party!

The teachers wore pajamas. Even Dr. Trusty and Dr. Martire!

Doodle D. Dog just loves to draw

There's always a crayon in his paw

He draws daisies and ducks

And delightful dump trucks

And the fanciest doghouse you ever saw!

Today we determined which pictures Doodle D. Dog would draw. He only likes to draw things that begin with the letter "D"!

D Week!

It's D Week here in Language Arts!

For technology day, we used the iPads to explore the letter of the week. In Doodle Buddy, we practiced writing the letter D and drew pictures whose name began with the letter D. 

Playdough ABC's!

We practiced identifying and forming letters with Playdough! 

It was also  great fine motor practice.
